Absolutely not. The auction is open to the public, anyone is welcome to attend.
There is never any cost for you to register for the auction. All you would need would be a driver’s license or any other acceptable form of ID.
Yes, pre-viewing of vehicles is allowed. See current listing for particular auction viewing times. Vehicle keys are given out for starting only. Vehicles are parked in position for the auction line up and therefore not allowed to be moved from their current position.
Parking is limited, so many customers will have to park on the north side of the road. We have a shuttle van available for transport to and from the auction. Click here to see a map on our location. Once here, the first step is to register with a driver’s license or any other appropriate form of ID. You will then be given a bid # which will be in the form of a numbered label that you will stick on your jacket, etc. in a spot that is visible to the auctioneer. Now you are ready to bid on either a vehicle or any miscellaneous item. There are usually a few auction “rings” that are going on at the same time. It is important to be present at the ring that you are interested in bidding. For example, if you want to bid on a vehicle, then you should be at the vehicle auction ring. If your bid is successful, the bidder pays a $400.00 deposit at the Deposit Cashier’s desk. At this point it is the bidder’s option to pay in full and be allowed to leave the auction with their vehicle OR the bidder may pay the balance due on the following work day by 6 pm. For example, if the auction day follows on a Saturday, then the balance due must be paid by 6 pm on Monday. Miscellaneous items must be paid in full before they are removed from the auction. Either miscellaneous items or vehicles bought at the auction must be removed from the auction so as not to be charged any additional storage charges.
Buyer's fees are applicable on all units auctioned. Miscellaneous items are subject to a 15% buyer's premium. Buyer's fees on vehicles are fluctuating depending on price and consignor. Please contact our office for more information on these fees.
It’s very simple to consign your vehicle to the auction. Bring the vehicle in along with the appropriate registration and any other pertinent information to the front desk. We will fill out a consignment form of which you will receive one copy for your records. That’s it … done!
It is the seller's option to set a reserve bid on their consigned vehicle. A reserve bid is the minimum amount that the vehicle will sell for. The auctioneer will always try to get the highest bid possible but he needs to know what the seller's bottom line is. If a vehicle fails to meet this reserve bid, a No Sale fee will be charged.
An unreserved bid means the item being auctioned will sell to the highest bidder. We encourage vehicles to be sold unreserved. This ensures that the vehicle consigned will sell for a fair market value.
For vehicles (which includes passenger vehicles, light duty trucks up to one ton), the consignment rates vary according to the selling price of the vehicle.
There is also a No Sale fee if a vehicle fails to achieve a reserve bid. It is a flat rate of $25 per unit. There are also dealer rates available. To receive these, you must present a dealers permit. For equipment (which includes vehicles over 1-ton, motorcycles, ATV, campers, boats, and riding mowers) the rates are:
The No Sale fee for equipment is based on the reserve bid amount you set on your unit:
The No Sale Fee on snowmobiles, ATV's and motorcycles is $25.00. For General Merchandise, Tools & Shop Equipment, we charge 30% and for Household Items we charge 40%.
A "green sticker" assurance means that:
Miscellaneous items can be brought at least a day before to the auction yard. A consignment form is filled out, a lot number is given to the items. These lot numbers are assigned to you only and it is your responsibility to put the lot # labels supplied on your lot items. There is warehouse help available to you in loading and unloading. There is also a forklift available.
It is generally seven days after the auction that the cheques are ready to be mailed. If you would like your cheque held for pick-up at the front desk, then it is your responsibility to let the front desk staff know. Otherwise, cheques are mailed at the end of that day.
Yes, about 50% of the vehicles are safetied. When viewing the vehicles, you will notice the safety stickers on the windows.
Items not removed within a short period of time will be charged storage fees.
